Tandem Reader Privacy Policy

Tandem Reader does not collect, store, or share any personal information.

What stays on your device

• Your books. The ebooks and audiobooks you add are copied into the app's private storage on your device. They are never uploaded.
• Transcription. To link an audiobook to its text, Tandem Reader transcribes the audio using Apple's on-device speech recognition. The audio and the transcript never leave your device.
• Reading position, bookmarks, highlights and settings. These are stored only on your device.

What we do not do

• No accounts, no sign-in.
• No analytics, advertising, or tracking.
• No third-party services receive data from the app.

Backups

If you use iCloud Backup or back up to a computer, Apple may include the app's data in those backups under your own Apple Account. Tandem Reader's developer has no access to them.

Diagnostics

If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may provide anonymous crash reports. These contain no book content.
